Reborn after an $11-million renovation, this hotel is "just about perfect" gush gleeful guests who not only love the "huge, beautiful" accommodations, "crisp, modern decor" and "great fitness facility", but also the location near "the hottest spots in Long Beach", within "walking distance to the pier and several restaurants" and across from the aquarium; many rooms have "panoramic views of the harbor" and the Queen Mary, as does the "small" pool on the third floor, so most are willing to forgive the extra charges for things like parking and Internet.

It was dirty, long hairs in sink mold in tub.
It used to be my favorite, but I has gone downhill our room was not properly cleaned one of the towels was stained it seemed they are really cutting corners.

The bathroom was incredible. Big and elegant.
The lobby is rather bland and the elevators from the parking structure are rather confusing.
I got these rooms for my mom and aunt, who would never choose to stay at such a nice hotel on their own. I want to go back there with my husband for a romantic weekend. The rooms were simply lovely, and we didn't even have one with a view! ...read more

Front office clerk - free upgrade, very friendly. Bar waitress was good.
Parking.
Great value for a Priceline bid. Ocean view rooms with balcony was great. We forgot our toiletries and staff promptly supplied it.
